Kosovo returns 110 citizens, mostly women from Syria
ARK News: Kosovo authorities returned on Sunday 110 nationals from Syria, most of them women who followed their husbands when they joined ranks of Da’esh with their children, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri announced.
"During the first hours of the morning, a very sensitive and important operation was carried out with the assistance of the United States, during which the government of Kosovo returned 110 citizens from the war zone in Syria," Tahiri told in a news conference.
He added that most of these people were women and children, as well as four fighters.
The US military spokesman Sean Robertson said when asked about the return of militants to Kosovo and the return of a militant to Bosnia that the “US assets were used to support this handover, and "the United States has not detained foreign fighters at any time."
He refused to give further details citing security reasons.
