Syria and US Discuss Ways to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
ARK News.. Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani received U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Jake McGee in Damascus on Monday, September 14, 2026, with the two sides discussing ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand the partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting, al-Shibani and McGee discussed the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and broaden the prospects for partnership between Syria and the United States.
Meanwhile, a U.S. economic delegation is visiting Damascus and is scheduled to hold meetings throughout the day with representatives of several Syrian ministries.
