ARK News.. The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that Internal Security units in Idlib province have arrested Issa Ghannam and Fadi Ma'rouf, who are accused of involvement in leaking the coordinates of a rebel camp in Jabal al-Duwailah in the city of Kafr Takharim in 2020.

The ministry stated that investigations revealed that Fadi Ma'rouf, known by the alias “Abu Jahl,” had sent the camp’s coordinates to Issa Ghannam, who in turn passed them on to Brigadier General Abdulrahman Najm, the head of the State Security Branch during the former regime.

According to the ministry, the camp was subsequently subjected to direct airstrikes while its members were holding a meeting, resulting in more than 100 people being killed or wounded.

The ministry added that the detainees have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations and take the necessary legal measures in accordance with established procedures.

It stressed that the move comes within the framework of ensuring that a fair judicial process remains the proper means of holding accountable all those involved in the shedding of Syrian blood.
