Israeli Forces Advance into the Countryside of Quneitra and Western Daraa
ARK News.. A Syrian news source reported that an Israeli force advanced into the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, while gunfire was directed toward agricultural land.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), an Israeli force consisting of tanks and military vehicles moved into residential neighborhoods in the village of Maariya in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa on Monday, June 8, 2026. The incursion coincided with what the agency described as random gunfire by Israeli soldiers toward nearby farmlands.
The source added that earlier in the day, an Israeli patrol had entered the town of al-Rafid in the countryside of Quneitra, in what was described as a continuation of Israeli violations in southern Syria.
