Kurdistan Writers' Union of Syria Congratulates Muhammad Ismail on Assuming Presidency of the Kurdish National Council

A delegation from the Kurdistan Writers' Union of Syria visited on Saturday, January 18, 2025, the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party–Syria to extend their congratulations to Muhammad Ismail on his appointment as the President of the Kurdish National Council. The delegation was received by Muhammad Ismail, Secretary of the Party, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the visit and the congratulations.

During the meeting, the delegation emphasized the significance of Muhammad Ismail’s leadership of the Kurdish National Council during this critical period for the region.

The delegation noted that the current circumstances call for a unified vision and coordinated stance among all Kurdish parties to address the political and social challenges. They stressed the need to unify efforts to strengthen the Kurdish presence in Syria.

In response, Muhammad Ismail provided an overview of the latest developments on the Syrian stage, highlighting the significant transformations taking place in the region. He underscored the necessity of solidarity among all Kurdish political, cultural, and social frameworks in Syria to advocate for the legitimate rights of the Kurdish people in the new Syria.

Ismail also reiterated the importance of adopting a federal system in Syria as a path to achieving civil peace and coexistence among all components of Syrian society. He argued that federalism represents the optimal solution for preserving Syria's diverse mosaic, fostering political and economic development, and building a prosperous and secure society.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Kurdistan Writers' Union delegation expressed their appreciation for Muhammad Ismail’s warm reception. In return, Ismail thanked the delegation for their kind wishes and congratulatory message.
