Tenth Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Four Peshmerga Fighters of Roj Peshmerga
ARK New.. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, marked the tenth anniversary of the martyrdom of four Peshmerga fighters from Roj Peshmerga who sacrificed their lives in the defense of Kurdistan.
The martyrs, Bassam Khalaf, Basil Haji, Ghamgin Qadri, and Amgiyan Badini, were killed on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, during clashes at al-Kharayij School in the Tal Afar area as part of their efforts in the fight against the terrorist organization ISIS.
ISIS targeted Peshmerga forces by detonating a military "Humvee" vehicle at the entrance of one of the Peshmerga gathering points in the village of Barhaywa in the Tel ’afar region, leading to the martyrdom of the four L Roj fighters.
The martyrs are:
-Bassam Mohammed Khalaf, a Peshmerga from Girziarati Choli village – Derik
-Basil Haji Haji, a Peshmerga from Tel Khanzir village – Derik
-Gamgin Qadri Osman, a Peshmerga from Derona Qulanga village – Derik
Amgiyan Badini, a Peshmerga from Derik
Their sacrifice remains a testament to their dedication and bravery in defending the land of Kurdistan.
