Sulaymaniyah: Three Syrian Kurdish refugees killed in car accident
ARK News.. A tragic car accident in Sulaymaniyah, in the Kurdistan Region, has claimed the lives of three Kurdish refugees from Syrian Kurdistan.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of his vehicle, which veered off the road and crashed into a shop in the Kariza (Ibrahim Ahmad) neighborhood of central Sulaymaniyah. The driver and two other people were killed in the accident.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred on the night of Wednesday 27 November 2024, as the three refugees were returning home from work.
Social media networks have identified the victims, who were reportedly: "Maher from Hasaka and brothers Renas and Aras Abdul Baqi Al-Shammari from Qamishlo, in Syrian Kurdistan.
Eyewitnesses added that police and ambulances rushed to the scene to take the bodies to the forensic medical facility to complete the necessary legal procedures.
