ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani and Ahmet Davutoglu, former Turkish Prime Minister, exchanged views on the developments and challenges facing the Middle East in general.
President Masoud Barzani met with former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday, November 22, 2024, as part of the activities of the Fifth Middle East Peace and Security Forum (MEPS24).
During the meeting, views and perspectives were exchanged on the latest developments and challenges facing the Middle East in general, in addition to discussing concerns about the return of terrorism and ways to enhance the peace and security process, as well as maintaining stability in the region.
The fifth edition of the Middle East Peace and Security Forum (MEPS 2024) kicked off on Friday, hosted by the American University of Kurdistan in Duhok.
124 academics from 40 different countries are participating in the (MEPS 2024) forum, which extends over Friday and Saturday, 73% of whom are participating for the first time.
It is worth noting that the forum includes a group of events and workshops that address the issues of the current situation in the Middle East region.
