Afrin… The Kurdish National Council condemns the killing of the minor, Ahmed Khaled Ma’mo, in Jenderes
ARK News… The Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in Afrin city condemned the brutal killing of the 16-year-old minor, Ahmed Khaled Ma’mo (Made), and called on the international community to play its political, legal and moral role towards the areas suffering from injustice, persecution and violations against humans, trees and stones.
Below is the text of the statement:
To the Syrian people in general and the Kurdish people in particular, with the approaching first anniversary of the heinous, brutal terrorist massacre committed against the Peshmerga family on the night of Newroz, March 20, 2023, with gunmen shooting young men for lighting the Newroz flame, in which four martyrs from the Peshmerga family fell, namely:
Farhan Addin Othman, 43 years old.
Ismail Othman, 38 years old.
- Muhammad Ismail Othman, 18 years old.
- Muhammad Othman, 42 years old.
With this painful anniversary approaching for the Kurdish people in Kurdistan and the diaspora and the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck Jenderes and the region, another heinous brutal crime is added to the record of crimes and violations against the Kurdish people, which is the killing of a young Kurdish man by one of the displaced people in the city of Jenderes in the Afrin countryside on 13/3/2024. Where the criminal, “Yamen Ahmed al-Ibrahim, born in 2006,” from the Idlib countryside, brutally killed the minor, Ahmed Khaled Ma’mo (16 years old), by stabbing him with several knife wounds. Then the criminal threw the body of the young man Ahmed into a water well on Tel Salour Road, which belonged to the citizen Haj. Ibrahim, when the criminal’s father learned of his son’s crime, he informed the military police and they immediately arrested him, and took out the martyr’s body the same day at breakfast hour.
We in the Kurdish National Council, at a time when we condemn and denounce these terrorist and brutal crimes against humanity, ask the National Coalition and the Interim Government to carry out their national role in controlling security and safety, ending all violations, and imposing and establishing a fair and impartial judiciary to impose just retribution against criminals, whoever they may be.
We also call on the international community to play its political, legal and moral role towards the regions that suffer from injustice, persecution and violations against people, trees and stones. We also ask Turkey, as the actual authority in its areas of influence, to assume its responsibilities in taking decisive stances towards all the violations and injustices that occur here and there so that the region can live in peace and security.
