ARK News… To confirm their positions demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254, hundreds of residents of the city of Suwayda demonstrated, on Friday, 9/2/2024, in al-Karama Square in the city.
In addition to the demands to work towards achieving a political transition in the country in accordance with the UN resolution, the protesters are demanding that the Syrian regime release the Syrian detainees. On Friday, the demonstrators chanted slogans: “The people want to overthrow the regime.”
For more than 5 months, the people of Suwayda have continued their peaceful movement, which began due to the deterioration of the living and security situation, to demand the overthrow of the Syrian regime and Iran’s exit from the country as an occupier.
