ARK News… The Jordanian authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle 4.2 million narcotic pills coming from Syria via a cargo vehicle at the Jaber border crossing.
The Jordanian Public Security Directorate, on Monday, January 29, 2024, said that the Narcotics Control Administration, in cooperation with Jordanian customs and security services, was able to thwart an attempt to smuggle 4.2 million narcotic pills using a cargo vehicle at the Jaber border crossing opposite the Nassib crossing on the Syrian side.
Adding that 3.5 kilograms of crystal narcotic substances were also seized at the same crossing in another cargo vehicle and three people were arrested.
During the past years, hundreds of drug shipments coming from areas controlled by the Assad regime in Syria were seized in many countries of the world, as the regime, the Lebanese Hezbollah and the Iranian militias supporting it in Syria, are a major exporter of narcotic pills in the region and the world.
