Sultan Bakir .. The first Kurdish to obtain a master’s degree in maritime navigation
ARK News: The Syrian Kurdish, Sultan Bakir, received a master’s degree in maritime navigation from the Marstel Maritime Academy in the Danish Kingdom, which is the highest certificate in the academic ranking of civil maritime certificates.
The captain Sultan Mahmoud Bakir, born in 1981, from the village of Tal Ghazal in Kobani city in Syrian Kurdistan, graduated from the Naval Higher Institute in Algeria, took refuge in Europe because of the refusal of the Syrian regime consulate in Algeria to renew his passport.
Sultan Bakir is considered the first Syrian Kurdish refugee to obtain a master’s degree in maritime navigation from one of European universities.
