Writer Jan Kurd to the displaced from Afrin: Do not be like the Palestinians of 48, you must return to your cities and villages

ARK News… The Kurdish writer Jan Kurd affirmed that Afrin has been Kurdish since time immemorial, and its "Kurdish" inhabitants are not intruders as some claim. Even the name Afrin is purely Kurdish and means "the river - Avrîn" and because the letter "v" does not exist in the Arabic language, the name was localized to "Afrin", and naming all regions of Afrin Kurdish has been Arabized.

In a special statement to ARK, writer Jan Kurd said that the authority that was in Afrin, the "PYD administration", deceived the people when the armed factions attacked with Turkish support on the city of Afrin in 2018, as it persuaded them to flee from their villages in the beginning for their safety.

The Kurdish writer added that the officials of the PYD administration promised the people who were expelled from their villages and cities to return within a short period of "45" days, and unfortunately what was implemented by the PYD administration on the city of Afrin was the beginning of the implementation of a simulated plot, aimed at displacing the people and changing the demographic of the Kurdish city of Afrin.

Jan Kurd stressed that the plot to change the demographics of Kurdish Afrin is being implemented in full swing, and Afrin must be saved as soon as possible, and the only way to save what can be saved from Kurdish Afrin is the return of the people to their villages and the land of their fathers and grandfathers.

The Kurdish writer appealed to all parties, international and regional organizations, and Kurdish parties and forces to support the campaign for the return of the displaced people of Afrin to their land.

Jan Kurd appealed to the people of Afrin to return, saying: In order not to be like the Palestinians of 48, you must return, as it is the only solution to prevent demographic change.
