ARK News: the Kurdish region of Afrin lost a prominent Kurdish national figure who had left his mark in the history of the Kurdish movement in the region, especially in the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria

The Kurdish figure Ahmed Sha’bo departed on Thursday, April 18, 2019, who descends from Shara town of the age of 70 in the city of Aleppo.

Ahmad Sha’bo joined the Kurdish Democratic Party (al-Party) at that time (the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria) the current and worked in the party committees until he reached the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria 1998.

In order to secure his living, Sha’bo worked in trading of Real Estate in the neighborhood of Ashrafiya in Aleppo and was recently exposed to a health ailment and heart problems that led to his death last Thursday where he was buried in Aleppo.

On 18/3/2019 the Turkish army and the armed factions occupied Afrin and since that day and the road leading from Afrin to Aleppo and vice versa is closed, this led to the cessation of bilateral social and economic relations between the residents of Afrin and Aleppo, and forced the residents of Afrin region who are living in the Kurdish neighborhoods of Aleppo, to bury their dead in Aleppo.
