The civil and military police arrest a number of Kurdish civilians in Afrin

ARK News… The civil and military police in Afrin and its countryside in Syrian Kurdistan arrested a number of Kurdish civilians, according to a source reported on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

Local sources from Afrin told ARK: The military police arrested the young man, Muhammad Jamil Mustafa, from the village of Deir Swan in the Shara town, and in the Rajo town, they arrested Saeed Abdo Othman, 66, and Hamid Hamid Kanjo, 25, from the village of Badina.

On the 22nd of this month, the civil police in Afrin raided several homes with the aim of arresting four Kurdish citizens: Khaled Rasool Gulkhilo, 25 years old, Muhammad Mustafa Binafshe, 32 years old, Abdul Rahman Hassan Aliko, 35 years old, and Jum’a Mustafa Alwan, 27 years old.

The source confirmed that they were charged with compulsory service during the PYD administration. He pointed out that the police released two from the village of Jalame in return for paying a ransom, while the fate of the others is still unknown.
