Duhok… A hospital specializing in cancer diseases

ARK News… The assistant director of the Cancer Center in Duhok Governorate, Dr. Chakdar Ahmed announced today, Wednesday, that the foundation stone for a hospital specializing in cancer diseases will be laid, in the presence of the Governor of Duhok, a German delegation, and the Director General of Duhok Health.

Chakdar Ahmad told (BasNews): "The foundation stone will be laid for a hospital specializing in cancer diseases, and the emergency hospital in the Barushki neighborhood of Duhok Governorate will become a center for disease treatment."

"This project is very important, as the hospital will be completely renovated, and it will soon serve cancer patients," he added.

He pointed out that "1430 cases of cancer were recorded during the past year in Duhok Governorate, which is a large number, and every day about 100 patients visit the cancer center in Azadi Hospital to receive treatment."

It is noteworthy that many health projects will be implemented in Duhok Governorate, including the renovation of the Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital, laying the foundation stone for the Cancer Center, and providing two devices to perform endoscopy operations in Duhok Hospital.
