ARK News… Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the meeting between the Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence and the head of the CIA on November 14 in Ankara took place at the request of Washington.
Ryabkov added: "The meeting that took place between the Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence, Sergei Naryshkin, and CIA chief William Burns on November 14 in Ankara was at the initiative of the American side. The issues discussed there are of a sensitive nature."
Turkish media had reported a meeting between the Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence, Sergei Naryshkin, and the Director of the CIA, William Burns, in Ankara.
For its part, the National Security Council at the White House said after the meeting that Burns delivered a message to his Russian counterpart regarding the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons by Russia and the risks of escalation to strategic stability.
