The Syrian National Coalition congratulates the Syrian people on Newroz, the symbol of freedom and liberation from injustice

ARK News... The Syrian National Coalition extends its sincere congratulations to all the Syrian people on the occasion of Newroz, especially the Syrian Kurds, in addition to the Kurds everywhere, for whom this holiday represents a dear occasion of great national, cultural and social importance.

Throughout history, Newroz has been a symbol of freedom and liberation from oppression and tyranny, and despite the difficult reality that our revolution is going through, the Syrians are renewing their hopes and aspirations to live in a homeland free of injustice, oppression, crime, and occupation, and affirm their adherence to the hope in the human being who is able to build a common future, they hope that stems from the strength of truth, freedom, and dignity, and from the confidence that victory will be an ally for the truth no matter how allied the forces of falsehood against it.

At the end of his legendary epic, the hero "Kawa" was able to achieve salvation for his Kurdish family and restore the shining of the sun of freedom in the sky of his country. The Syrian Kurds have proven that they are the descendants of Kawa, and they were in the first ranks when the revolution of freedom and dignity began, in the face of the criminal Assad regime in Amouda, Afrin, Kobani, Qamishlo, Rukn Addin in Damascus and Ashrafiya in Aleppo.

Today, our people in the east of the Euphrates with all its components, especially the Kurds among them, are called upon all to cooperate and collaborate in order to renew the spirit of the Syrian revolution and to rise up again against the criminal Assad regime, and against the terrorist PYD militias affiliated with the PKK organization, and expelling them from Syria to where they came from Qandil, and on the occasion of Newroz, the National Coalition calls on the international community to lift any cover from these militias that falsely claim to represent the Kurds and are among the most committed violations against them and to stop their support and demand for the release of detainees, an end to torture, kidnapping and child recruitment.

The Syrians’ struggle was and still is a struggle that meets the meanings of Newroz in liberation from injustice and spreading freedom and peace, and a project to safeguard political, social, cultural, and religious rights and preserve the civilizational heritage of our homeland. We must all believe that the struggle to preserve the rights of all as partners in the homeland is the real guarantee for the new Syria.

Glory to the martyrs, healing to the wounded, and freedom to the detainees

Long live Newroz, a symbol of freedom and emancipation

Long live Syria, and long live its dear free people.
