Adviser to President Barzani: With sincere efforts, Hoshyar Zibari is the president of Iraq for the next stage

ARK News… on Wednesday, an advisor to President Masoud Barzani confirmed that a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party's political bureau, Hoshyar Zibari, is the Kurdish candidate for the presidency of Iraq.

Masoud Haidar said on Twitter: "We hear here and there propaganda from some to withdraw presidential candidates at the last minute and agree on a specific candidate."

He added, "We make it clear to public opinion that; Mr. Hoshyar Zibari is the Kurdish candidate for the presidency, and the consensus stage has been passed in this regard, and with the efforts of loyal and patriots, he is the President of the Iraqi Republic for the next stage."

The spokeswoman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Representative Viyan Dakhil, confirmed on Tuesday that they have guarantees from the leader of the Sadr Movement to vote for the party's candidate, Hoshyar Zibari for the presidency.

An intruder explained that if Zibari had any legal problems, his candidacy would not have been approved by the body competent to scrutinize the names of the candidates.
