One of the refugees: We came to the Kurdistan Region because of the bad economic situation and the instability of the security
ARK News… Within two days, more than 900 Kurdish refugees arrived in the Kurdistan Region after leaving Kurdistan from Syria for security and economic reasons.
"In a new wave, 183 new refugees arrived at Bardarash refugee camp early on Monday, and later in the night, 347 refugees arrived at the camp," Kurdistan 24 quoted its correspondent as saying. "On Tuesday morning, another 350 refugees arrived at the same camp," he added.
One of the refugees told the Kurdistan 24 reporter: "We are coming to the Kurdistan Region because of the bad economic situation and the security instability that we suffer from."
According to Kurdistan 24 information, the number of Syrian refugees in the Bardarash camp ten days ago was about 3,000. This number has increased dramatically since then with this new wave. Bardarash camp, located in Duhok Governorate in the Kurdistan Region, can accommodate 15,000 refugees.
