The Yezidi Council of Syria: The attack by Revolutionary Youth on the crossing border is a blatant and barbaric attack
A statement of condemnation and denunciation regarding the attack on the Semalka crossing
To the Kurdish public opinion
ARK News… The Semalka crossing between the Kurdistan region of Iraq and the northern border of Syria has continued to carry out its humanitarian tasks despite the fabricated problems by some parties as to the only crossing that plays its role and breathes through it the economy between the Kurds in the north and south, especially in light of the escalating and continuous deterioration of the political and living conditions in Syria in general and in the Kurdish regions Kurdish in particular, until two days ago, we were surprised by groups calling themselves Revolutionary Youth. These groups carried out barbaric behavior that is not free of revenge and hatred at this crossing, by dislodging the crossing barrier, attacking cars, and breaking them with stones to distract from their violations, including kidnapping and recruiting minors, and other condemned acts, in order to create unrest and create more political fissures in the Kurdish street and between the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq and the Kurds of Syria, and to drag the Peshmerga forces into a confrontation in which the Kurds have nothing but more losses and failures, not to mention creating strife between the two sides of the Kurdish street, which awaits with an eye of caution and hope the results of the dialogues of Kurdish Kurdish two years ago, in the hope that a ray of light would emerge from it at the end of the tunnel, and the talks would reach their desired goals.
At a time when all Kurdish political forces and parties weighed the burden of war on the two fronts of terrorism and the war in Syria, which drained all energies and divided Syria horizontally and vertically, it required all Kurdish parties more close ranks and unity of position, but what happened recently at the Semalka crossing is a blatant attack that does not carry only one meaning, which is to tamper with the Kurdish destiny, despite its current failures and unknown fate.
Therefore, we in the Yezidis Council of Syria appeal to the wise and wise people in the Democratic Union Party and the Autonomous Administration to stand in front of their historical and fateful responsibilities and not to dismiss the behavior of these groups, which do not only harm the Autonomous Administration, but the entire Kurdish movement in Syria, and to publicly disavow these barbaric groups that from time to time pose a danger that transcends all Kurdish national values and morals, sometimes by burning the offices of the Kurdish parties, sometimes by tearing up the Kurdish flag, and sometimes by attacking the Semalka crossing border.
We also urge the Kurdish parties throughout Kurdistan to stand against this phenomenon and against these barbaric groups and their behavior that only results in more destructive conflicts and endless strife between the sons of the one Kurdish people.
