President Barzani congratulates the Kurdistan Women's Union on the 69th anniversary of its founding

ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on Saturday, congratulated the Kurdistan Women's Union on the 69th anniversary of its founding.

President Barzani congratulated the secretary and members of the secretariat office in the Union, and said, "I extend my warmest congratulations to you and to all the members of your militant organization and all the women of Kurdistan."

He added that the Kurdistan Women's Union has a successful experience on women's participation in political and societal life in Kurdistan, which is one of the most important achievements of the revolution, which played a role in consolidating and strengthening women's rights at various stages.

President Barzani indicated that the Kurdistan Women's Union is a militant organization that supported the Peshmerga and the revolution and struggle of the people of Kurdistan and performed its duty to raise women's awareness and defend their rights.

He said that the Kurdistan Women's Union in the current era must work within the framework of a culture of coexistence, civility, equality, and the elimination of family and societal violence to promote nationalist, patriotic, and democratic ideals.
