ARK News… The American representative at the United Nations stressed that the violations of the Syrian regime affected every Syrian family, and every Syrian deserves justice and accountability, which hundreds of thousands of victims of the regime did not receive.
The US Embassy in Damascus published on its Facebook page that Linda Thomas Greenfield, the US representative to the United Nations, said: "The violations of the Assad regime have affected every Syrian family, especially the campaign of arbitrary detention and torture."
The American representative added: Every Syrian deserves justice and accountability, which hundreds of thousands of victims of the regime have not achieved. The international community must do more than just listen to the testimonies and read reports of the atrocities committed by the Assad regimes.
Linda Thomas Greenfield emphasized that accountability is essential to achieve long-overdue justice for the victims of the regime and their families and to build further confidence in the political process.
