Turkish intelligence and free police gunmen break into the local council building in Afrin

ARK News: Turkish police and Turkish security forces stormed the local council building in the Kurdish city of Afrin and arrested the chairman of the local council.

"Gunmen of the Free Police belonging the armed factions in Afrin and the Turkish intelligence broke into at noon on Tuesday, 25/9/2018 the center of the local council in Afrin city and arrested the chairman of the Council, Zuhair Haidar”, a special source from Afrin city said to ARK News.

According to the same source, "The intruders seized a laptop containing all the papers and confirmations relating to the staff of the Council and after the investigation lasted more than an hour with the President of the Council, he was released and returned to his job again.”

On Monday, 24/9/2018, a group of 300 Arab settlers and gunmen affiliated to the ( Jabha Al-Shamiya) attacked the center of Mabata town and beat the president and members of the local council on the pretext that a Kurdish teacher did not teach the religion article in the school. The sources confirmed that the aim of the attack is to control and dominate of the area as well as demanding the members of the Council many times from the Arab settlers to evacuate the houses of the Kurds so that the people be able to return to their homes.
