Syrian Kurdistan: A statement to the public opinion

ARK News… The Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria stated a statement to the public opinion about the intimidating practices of the PYD that only serve the enemies of the Kurdish people, this is the text of the statement:

In continuation of the difficult living conditions of our people and oppressive and intimidating practices, groups of armed men affiliated with the security forces of the PYD party carried out a campaign of kidnappings against the cadres of our Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria last night, Saturday, July 17, 202, each of the following names:

1- Muhammad Saleh Shallal Ahmad, a member of the Area Council of our party in Chil Agha.
2- Ezaddin Zain al-Abidin Mahmoud, a member of the Area Council of our party in Qamishlo.
3- Muhammad Daham Ayo, a member of the advisory body of our party and the former head of the local council of the Kurdish National Council in Qamishlo.
4- Barzan Hussein, a member of the Area Council of our party in Girke Lage.

Last Tuesday, July 13, the comrade Farmaz Abdul Karim Ali from Derik was kidnapped, and on May 22, the comrade Abdul Ghaffar Muhammad from Chil Agha.

These intimidating practices and the policy of silencing mouths only reflect the catastrophic failure that this administration has reached, as it is looking for any excuse to suppress the dissenting opinion and impose de-facto authority by force of arms amid the suffering of the people in all aspects of service and living.

We, in the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, strongly condemn and denounce these repressive practices and grave violations, which contradict the most basic rules of human rights and freedoms and do not serve the future and issue of our people, and also limit efforts to make the Kurdish negotiations successful.

We call on the concerned international bodies to fulfill their obligations to prevent violations against the cadres of the Council, and we call on our people, their national forces, community activities, and the Kurdish forces, and everyone who cherishes the values of freedom and democracy by pressing for the immediate release of the abductees. We affirm that these practices only serve the enemies of our Kurdish people and all the people of the region.
