Kobani is experiencing a gasoline crisis

Aug 09 2020

ARK News… The Kobani region in Syrian Kurdistan is witnessing a gasoline crisis, and despite the announcement of a curfew, to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, this did not prevent the people from standing in long Queues to get gasoline.

"We have to stand for long hours to get a few liters of gasoline," one of the citizens told ARK, who preferred not to be named.

The citizen confirmed: Only two stations distribute the gasoline material, one in the city center and the other in the village of Gobirlik, which causes the formation of a crisis.

He continued: The quality of the gasoline that is distributed is very poor, in spite of that, however, the people are forced to stand in front of the two stations to obtain the substance.

ARK obtained two pictures, in which people stand in long lines, not committed to the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, such as social distancing and putting on masks and paws.

PYD officials say: The lack of gasoline sent to Kobani is causing queues in front of the two stations.

There are 32 fuel stations in the Kobani region, of which six are in the city, and 26 are distributed in their affiliated villages.
