A source for ARK recounts the family's receipt of news of her son's death under torture in Sari Kaniye
ARK News: After his arrest on false charges, a young Kurdish man was martyred in the prisons of the armed factions in the city of Sari Kaniye, in Syrian Kurdistan, where the family received the news of his martyrdom, on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Armed factions arrested a month after their control of the city of Sari Kaniye, the young Mahmoud Hassan Omari, before the eyes of her mother when they tried to return to their homes, and took him to an unknown destination. Note that the young Mahmoud, who has special needs, has held a "disabled" card since 2015, as he suffers from cerebral palsy.
An informed source told ARK News that the family had received the news of the martyrdom of the son Mahmoud in the prisons of Al-Hamzat militias, in the city of Sari Kaniye.
The source added: The family who were abandoned due to the Turkish military operation in the city, held on Friday a funeral ceremony for the young man in the city of Amouda.
The source confirmed: The young Mahmoud Hassan Omari, born in 1992, 28 years old, resident of the Al-Simoud neighborhood in Sari Kaniye, was not related to the parties, especially the PYD or QSD.
Since the armed factions took control of the cities of Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi, as a result of the Turkish military operation that began on October 9 of last year, violations against civilians continue to be similar to those taking place in Afrin, where there are cases of killings, kidnappings and seizures of civilian property, on the pretext that it belongs to the PYD.
