Jamil Omar Ibrahim Abu Adel, born in Qamishlo - Tal Tayer in 1953, was a former leader of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), he left its ranks and was criticized by him severally . He is one of the founders of the Kurdish Democratic Forces Union in Syria.
He held a leadership position in it, was strongly present in the movement of the Syrian revolution in the Kurdish areas, and he was leading the demonstrations and giving speeches in them.
In a previous statement within his participation in the ARK's bulletin, the politician Nawaf Rashid, a member of the Political Committee of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party, and a member of the Kurdistan Region’s Kurdish National Council in Syria, said that the leader of the Kurdish Democratic Forces in Syria, Jamil Abu Adel, was kidnapped before his eyes by Armed men belonging to the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Qamishlo city.
Jamil Omar Ibrahim Abu Adel is married and has 13 sons and a daughter. He was kidnapped in Qamishlo alongside the statue on July 13, 2012, and his fate remains unknown.
