An appeal from the Kurdish community in Lebanon
ARK News.. By virtue of the location of Lebanon, which borders Syria, Lebanon has been a destination for Syrian workers who flocked to it from the 1950s to the present day out of the search for a livelihood.
In light of the Syrian crisis and the negative political, security and economic conditions it left over all the Syrian regions, the number of Syrian arrivals, and from the Kurdish regions in particular to Lebanon, increased after they left their areas by force, due to bombing, destruction, occupation, violations and crimes against humanity.
Recently, the value of the Lebanese pound deteriorated against the dollar, and Lebanon suffers a stifling crisis, where prices increased and job opportunities diminished, in light of the spread of the Corona virus. All of this contributed to the deterioration of the living situation of the 75,000 Kurdish community in Lebanon, and it became very difficult to be able to securing the basic requirements of life, and not being able to pay the wages of their homes or obtain work opportunities that guarantee them a decent life, and their living conditions became frightening and very bad.
That is why we, the Kurdish community in Lebanon, appeal to the Kurdistan Region for a presidency and government, and we also appeal to the Barzani Charitable Foundation and the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council to provide aid and assistance to us so that we can face these very difficult living conditions.
All appreciation to the President and leader of the Kurdish nation, Masoud Barzani, for his support to the Kurdish people everywhere and in all fields.
All thanks to the Kurdistan Region and its government, and we sincerely hope that our appeal will receive all attention.
