Announcing the latest casualty statistics in Kurdistan
ARK News.. The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region, on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, announced that it recorded hundreds of new cases of coronavirus in the region during the past 24 hours, most of which were in Sulaimaniyah.
The ministry said in a statement that 114 of these were in Sulaimaniyah, 74 in the Garmiyan administration, 57 in Erbil, 29 in Duhok, and 20 in Halabja.
The statement affirmed that 140 patients recovered, the majority of them in Erbil, while 11 people died of the virus within 24 hours.
According to official sources: The total number of infections reached 8,428, of which 3008 were recovered, and the number of deaths was 282.
