Afrin ... Violations by pro-Turkish armed militia continue
ARK News.. A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook today, 07.07.2020, that in one of the video interviews between a number of the people of Afrin and a member of the United Nations fact-finding committee - Geneva - one of the citizens of the Afrin region who was interviewed stated: Despite the horror of inhuman violations and crimes committed by armed militias against our right, which we hold responsible for the Turkish government as the de facto ruling authority, we are still and will remain in our city, clinging to the land of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives to preserve our national identity and the privacy of Kurdish Mountain(Kurdagh).
The Human Rights Organization of Afrin said that Turkish forces and militias of armed groups affiliated to them continue by cracking down on Kurdish citizens in the Kurdish region of Afrin and the implementation of the political and military agendas in terms of the ethnic cleansing of Kurds and forcing residents to leave in order to make a demographic change, and the violations are still continuing as of the date of this report, as follows:
First - The armed elements of the Samarkand Brigade, led by Abu Jihad, who control the village of Dala of Jenderes township, on 07/03/2020, assaulted and tortured the villagers after they refused to work to clean up their headquarters in Routa village (the headquarters in the house belonging to the citizen engineer Ahmed Shafiq Youssef) and their names are as follows:
1 - Abdul Karim Hamada
2 - Rezan Hamada
3 - Ahmed Aziz
4 - Khalid Aziz
5 - Shiyar Ali Ahmed
6 - Nizar Shukri.
Note that they were released after being forced to pay the ransom.
Second - Armed militia of the Al Nukhba faction controlling the village of Darwish of Shara township, on 06/07/2020, kidnapped the citizen Muhammad Ali Mustafa and took him to the headquarters of the faction, without any reason, in order to collect the ransom in exchange for his release.
Third - Armed militia belonging to Liwaa Mohammed Al-Fateh, who controlled the village of Ma’mila of Rajo township, on 06/07/2020, kidnapped the young Lawand Omar Simo and took him to the town center for material extortion and collect the ransom in exchange for his release, as was the case with the kidnapped people previously from the village .
Fourth - Armed militia belonging to the Hamzat faction controlling the village of Kafardalle Tahtani of Jenderes township, on 07/01/2020 cut down more than 50 olive trees in the field located in the village plain, owned by Abdul Rahman Nasser, a resident of the village of Gurzele.
The armed elements of the Al Jabha Al Shamiya faction also, on 02/07/2020, cut down more than 60 olive trees belonging to the Kurdish resident Farouk Najjar, who was forcibly displaced from Ain Dara village of the city center of Afrin, located near the Ashrafiya neighborhood.
Fifth - The armed militia of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Al Amshat faction on Monday 06/07/2020 called on the people of the town of Shiye and gathering tem in the main road of the town (Hammam Road) and the brother of the called Abu Amsha (Saif Al Din) urged them to send their children to fight in Libya to obtain a monthly salary of 2000 US dollars is better than waiting for the seasonal output, which do not exceed an average amount of 500 Syrian pounds per day.
On the other hand, the number of shops that are run by the indigenous Kurds in the town is 114, compared to 46 stores seized by the settlers, and there are 152 shops, the keys of which are in the hands of the leader of the Sultan Suleiman Shah al-Amshat faction called Muhammad al-Jassim, known as Abu Amsha.
Sixth: The so-called Abu Shaher (brother of the called Abu Jaber, who is responsible for the sector of the western side of the city of Afrin) and his group of militia members from the Hamzat faction, who are under the name of the Free Syrian National Army, who control the village of Ferreira on Monday 06/07/2020, fired randomly and attacked on the citizens of the village, men and women, after the villagers refused to fulfill their demands to pay the royalty in kind from the milk and cheese and prevented them from taking over the shops belonging to the campus of the village mosque, which resulted in the injury of three citizens of varying injuries.
Thus, they impose a security cordon around the village and prevent the exit from the village and the entry of the people of the neighboring villages, in addition to confiscating cell phones to prevent communications, photography and the transfer of information.
Seventh - Fire broke out in the forest trees in the mountains of Sheikh Bilal village of the Rajo township on Sunday 05/07/2020 as a result of the training carried out by armed militias by making the mountain a field of firing from light and medium weapons (Kalashnikov - Dushka) and firing sparks towards the bush, thus, they extinguished the fire in the first time and they continued their training, which led to the outbreak of the fire a second time for a period exceeding ten hours and eliminating trees with an area of more than ten hectares of the mountain.
Eighth - Militia belonging to the Hamzat faction who are controlling the village of Marate led by Moataz Abdullah on 05/07/2020, stole a number of livestock belonging to the citizen Ahmed Hino and hide them for material extortion, and by evening, the cattle returned to the fold after paying the financial ransom for their release.
