The understandings between ENKS and PYNK are the focus of the Girke Lage Local Meeting

ARK News.. In the presence of all the members of Girke Lage locality, the Girke Lage locality od Derik in Syrian Kurdistan of the Kurdish National Council, on Monday, June29, 2020 held its regular meeting.

The beginning was a minute's silence in honor of the lives of the Kurdish and Kurdistan martyrs, foremost among them the immortal Barzani.

The head of Girke Lage locality, Khalil Osi, welcomed the members of the attendees and talked about the activities of the council and follow up on the implementation of previous decisions, as well as the political situation in light of the rapid changes in the region.

After that, two members of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council Fakhr al-Din Haji and Zahra Ahmad spoke about the political situation, the latest political developments, the statement of understanding between the Kurdish National Council and the Kurdish National Unity Parties, the binding common political vision and understanding on adopting the Duhok agreement as a ground for the second phase negotiations in order to achieve a true partnership in the Political, administrative, military and economic ranges.

The organizational situation and the necessity of activating the council were also discussed. In this context, a Girke Lage local member stated that Marwan Hussein Layani stated the necessity of activating the council through mass seminars and political lectures and the necessity of activating the sectors, branches, council committees and village councils affiliated to Girke Lage locality.

At the end of the meeting, a number of organizational decisions were taken and forming committees for that.
