New Governor of Duhok Sworn in
ARK News.. The new governor of Duhok, Dr. Ali Tatar Nerway, was sworn in today and took the oath of the office before Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani.
Tatar is succeeding Farhad Atroshi, both of whom are from the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).
In a meeting following the ceremony, Kurdistan President appreciated Tatar’s previous performances, praised his public service experiences and expressed hope that he will continue to work with dedication to provide quality services to Duhok Governorate and its people.
Later on Thursday, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani congratulated the new governor in a phone call. He also wished Tatar success in serving the people of Duhok.
