Election of a new president of the local council in the central and Corniche neighborhoods of Qamishlo

ARK News.. The local council in the Central and Corniche neighborhoods held their regular meeting, on Sunday June 28, 2020, in the office of the local council in the Corniche neighborhood in Qamishlo, in the presence of the head of the local council affairs office in the Kurdish National Council, Mohsen Taher, and his deputy Nadia Doku.

After welcoming the guests and members of the locality by the head of the local council, “Issam Ahmed”, a minute of silence was observed on the lives of the martyrs of Kurdistan, led by the immortal (Mulla Mustafa Barzani).

After that, Mohsen Taher talked about the current political situation in the region, especially the recent understanding regarding the unity of the Kurdish class, standing at length on his part and the need to be ready for the upcoming changes and what will lead to the discussions later.

"Taher" stressed in the meeting that Turkey is an occupied country prior to these interventions, especially as it interferes in the affairs of the region with a view to retrieving its empires and not only, in referring to him from the usurping lands of Kurdistan.

On the meeting, Essam Ahmed, the former local council president, stated to the ENKS site saying: The local council for the Corniche and the Central of the Kurdish National Council held its regular meeting in the presence of the majority of the members and the presence of the Presidency of Local Council Affairs Mr. Mohsen Taher and Mrs. Nadia Doku, where they explained the current Syrian and Kurdish political situation, to what extent the Kurdish-Kurdish understanding, the American role in its success, and the role of President Masoud Barzani and President Nechirvan Barzani reached in the success of the Kurdish-Kurdish understanding, because of its positive results at the Kurdish and Syrian levels, then the presidential elections were held and a new president of the local council was chosen.

Idris Khalil was elected as president of the Local Council and his two deputies (Wahid Hisso - Rohilat Othman) to carry out the local tasks.

The meeting was enriched with interventions and questions by members, and was answered with a generous welcome by “Mohsen Taher” and “Nadia Doku”.
