Violations of pro-Turkish armed groups continue against the citizens of Afrin

ARK News: The human rights organization in Afrin has identified a series of horrific violations by the pro-Turkish armed groups against the citizens of Afrin region Kurdistan of Syria, of Looting and confiscating houses and preventing citizens from returning to their homes and demanding ransom from them in return for their evacuations or detention civilians under false pretexts to extort them financially for their release.

“The citizen Mustafa Kurdi, who is from the city of Afrin, is now living outside his house because of his demand by an armed group of 2 million Syrian pounds for the delivery of his house, at first, he refused to pay the amount, but after his approval, the group increased the amount to 5 million Syrian pounds, but he refused to pay the amount and emigrated to Aleppo city to live in rent”, according to the sources of the human rights organization .

Another citizen, whose name is Shireen and is from Afrin city the armed group took over her apartment in (Hamada building). When she asked them to vacate her house, they refused to hand her over except for a huge amount of money that she cannot afford. Now She lives outside her apartment in Afrin.

In the village of Tillif of Jenderes town, the Turkish forces and al-Hamzat group packed them prevented 40 families from entering their homes, and when they were agreed to enter the village, they were asked for $ 1,000 by al-Hamzat group to hand over their houses, but all of them rejected the idea of paying the ransom, so they did not receive their homes and they left the village to live either in their relatives houses or rent houses in Afrin city.

In the same village, the same armed faction imposed to the civil, Jimo Na’san and his brother to live in one apartment together after the second apartment of his brother was confiscated and forcibly took $ 2000 from them. Both of them are married and have children.

It is worth mentioning that the pro-Turkish army armed groups, which participated in the occupation of the city of Afrin, committed dozens of crimes against the people of Afrin city and its countryside, such as killing, kidnapping and torture, as well as looting and theft, burning agricultural crops and trees of forests, the seizure of property of citizens and the confiscation of their homes, , as well as the arrest of dozens of innocent people in order to demand ransom from their families for their release. These violations have become systematic by those groups.
