The ENKS calls on Turkey and the international community to stop the terrible and systematic violations in Afrin and remove the factions from the cities

ARK News.. The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement on grave violations in the Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan, calling on the international community and Turkey to stop these violations urgently and to hold the perpetrators to account in the harshest penalties. ARK received a copy, which read:

The areas of Afrin, Gire Spi (Tal Abyad), Sari Kaniye (Ras Al-Ain) are still suffering from the continued serious violations of factions and armed groups that entered with the Turkish forces, especially in Afrin and its areas where they are exposed to crimes and practices contrary to human values, as well as thefts, looting and robberies burning homes and shops, bulldozing olive fields, seeking demographic change in the region, arresting young people, and practicing terrible torture against them, to a degree of their life difference, and the conflict of these factions revealed their fighting over the spoils according to the information received on the fact that they kidnapped the Kurdish women, forced them into secret detention centers and treated them in a manner that anti humanity.

The Kurdish National Council, while condemning and denouncing in the strongest terms these horrific and systematic violations against our Kurdish people and all the people of the region in Afrin, at the same time calling on the international community and the Turkish state and urgently to stop these violations and hold the perpetrators accountable with the harshest sanctions, and work to remove these factions from the populated areas of cities, towns and villages and hand over their management to their children.

The Council also calls upon the relevant countries and the United Nations and the concerned humanitarian organizations to stand by the Kurdish people there in their suffering and to make room for international human rights organizations and international media agencies to cover and document violations every day and work to provide security and safety for these areas.
