Extending the curfew in the Kurdistan Region until the next 10 of April

ARK News.. The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Rebar Ahmed, announced in a press conference the extension of the comprehensive curfew in the Kurdistan Region, which ends at midnight tonight for a period of 10 additional days from today, Wednesday, April 1, until the 10 of it.

The Minister of the Interior thanked the citizens of the region for their commitment to the curfew procedures, noting that the relevant authorities will provide facilities, as far as possible, for citizens who may need assistance, especially those who depend for their livelihood on going out and daily work, as well as markets, bakeries and other service facilities that citizens need.

The Minister of the Interior also called on everyone and from all levels to fully abide by the curfew to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, stressing that if it had not been for the curfew, the Corona virus infection would have been very large.

Minister Rebar Ahmed indicated that, upon the direction of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Kurdistan Regional Government will continue to return citizens who are sick and students who are still outside the region and have not been able to return.

He also indicated that the same previous measures taken before at the entrances to the cities of the Kurdistan Region will continue to be applied in relation to traffic in them.
