A prominent senator: Perhaps it is time for Kurdistan's independence
ARK News: In response to Baghdad's call for US forces to withdraw from the country, a prominent American senator said, on Sunday, January 5, 2020, that it may be time for Kurdistan to be fully independent.
"Maybe the time has come for a full independence for Kurdistan, which is in northern Iraq now," wrote prominent Republican Senator Marco Rubio, on his Twitter account, commenting on the decision to expel foreign forces.
In an exceptional session held on Sunday, the Iraqi parliament called on the American and other foreign forces to leave the Iraqi territories following an air strike that killed Qasim Soleimani and the leader of the popular crowd Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis near Baghdad Airport.
