Feb 01 2021

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin in its report, on 28/01/2021, reported that the security commander in the Third Corps, "Ahmed Misto, nicknamed Abu Aslan", contacted the Imam of the mosque in the village of Kafr Jinnah of Shara town and urged him to send a call through the platform and the radio to settle the conditions of the Kurdish young men who performed compulsory service in order to help them of obtaining a non-follow-up document, and after a number of people registered their names on Friday, 22/01/2021, the so-called Ahmed Misto, at nine o'clock in the evening of the following day (Saturday 23/01/2021), accompanied by three security personnel, by means of a military vehicle, took the Mukhtar with him, confiscated his phone, and took him to homes of the young men and their abduction away from the eyes of the security personnel of the Ahrar al-Sham militia, which is in charge of the village and the prosecution to settle the situation of 5 young Kurdish men every day, as a result of the raid they kidnapped:
1 - Bashar Othman Othman
2 - Sherko Othman
3 – The young Rashid Mannan Hamdoush, in place of his wife's brother, who was outside his house at the time.

This raid led to chaos and noise among their families and relatives who contacted the security forces led by Abu Hassanein in the village and in turn they set up checkpoints to prevent them from leaving, liberating the two young men from their hands, subjecting them to interrogation in their place for a period of two hours and releasing them all, and it became clear later that the aim of this process is financial extortion and ransom collection.

The next day, one of the leaders of the al-Jabha al-Shamiya summoned the Committee for the Restitution of Rights, Grievances, where they brought eight cars at the house of the Mukhtar of the village and met with the people who filed a complaint against the so-called Abu Aslan and demanded the restoration of their homes and properties, and the committee members said that they would hold the aforementioned accountable for his action!

While the village official named Abu Hassanein announced that they will hand over two young men to the Political Security in Afrin every day to refer them to the court and pay a fine of 750 Turkish liras so that all young people will return to their homes after settling their legal and administrative status

Despite the passage of three years of the Turkish invasion of the Afrin region and its town and villages, the creative and overwhelming chaos has become almost daily, and the kidnapping processes of Kurdish civilians continue.
