
Kamiran Hajo ARK: Russia has expressed support for the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria
ARK News: Kamiran Hajo, head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Kurdish National Council in Syria and a member of the Syrian mini-constitutional committee, announced on December 11, 2019, that Russia has expressed support for the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria and confirmed that it will move in the direction of supporting the Kurds to achieve their rights in the future Syria
In a statement to ARK Media Foundation, Hajo said: "In our last meeting with Bogdanov, they asked us to explain to the Kurds their demands, and they confirmed that Russia is continuing to support them to achieve their rights in the future Syria."
Regarding the Syrian Constitutional Committee, he stressed: "We explained to them the difficulty of obtaining consensus in the near term between the parties and we asked the Russians to activate their role more in the process of writing the new constitution for Syria to find a consensus."
Hajo added: "We asked for more support for the Kurdish issue in the constitution drafting process." He continued: "The Russians expressed their support for the Kurdish issue in the general framework."
A high-ranking delegation from the Kurdish National Council in Syria, headed by Kamiran Hajo, met on Monday, 9 December 2019, with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister in the Russian capital, Moscow.
