Russia: We have no confirmed information about the killing of Baghdadi and Russia did not participate in the operation

ARK News: The Russian Defense Ministry mentioned that it had no information to confirm the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi, denying providing any assistance for US flights in the Idlib region in northwestern Syria.

The ministry said in a statement published on Sunday by its spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, that it "does not have any confirmed information about the implementation of the US military operation to a new liquidate of the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi, in the Turkish-controlled part of the Idlib region to the reduce of escalation."

The ministry made clear saying: "First, no airstrikes have been detected by US aircraft or the so-called international coalition on the Idlib region of the reduction of the escalation within the last Saturday or the last days”.

The statement continued: "Second, we have no knowledge of any allegation of providing assistance to the flight of US flights in the airspace above the Idlib area of the reduction of the escalation during this operation."

The Russian Defense Ministry made clear saying: "Thirdly, all lands, which are not controlled by the Syrian government in the Idlib area of the reduction of the escalation, are managed and controlled by the terrorist group Al-Nusra Front, which represents the Syrian arm of al-Qaeda. This group has consistently eliminated the organization and any of its members directly on the ground with relentlessly, as they are main competitors for power in Syria, that is why the quiet presence of the former leader of ISIS on Syrian-controlled territory deserves separate direct evidence from the United States and other participants in the operation.
