ARK News… A number of Kurdish families have returned to their hometowns in Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan, according to a private source who reported it, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

One family hails from Mabata town, another from Sennara village of Shiye town, and two families from Araba village in Mabata town - rural Afrin. It recently returned to its hometown.

A source from Shiye town in the countryside of Afrin city said on June 12 that another displaced family in Aleppo had returned to their hometown in the district.

Two Kurdish families had recently returned to their hometown in Afrin, according to a source from the city who reported it a few days before June 9. One family returned from Germany to Jenderes, while another returned from the Kurdistan Region to its village in Shara town.

On May 26, 2023, a family descended from the village of Dersiwan and returned from the city of Aleppo to its hometown in the village of Dersiwan.

Last month, three Kurdish families who were displaced in the city of Aleppo returned to their hometowns in the villages of Afrin. Among those families, two families descend from the village of Ein Hecerê and a family from the village of Qorigol at the beginning of this month.

Despite the violations taking place in the region, the campaign for the return of the displaced persons and refugees of Afrin to their city and villages continues, and the families return from the al-Shahba camps and neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo, as well as from Lebanon, Turkey, and the Kurdistan Region.

Politicians and observers call for the need for the displaced and refugees to return to their homes in order to prevent any demographic change in the Kurdish regions, especially in Afrin, Serê kaniyê, and Girê Spî.

ARK News… The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed the importance of a modern banking sector, pointing to the transfer of the accounts of 1.2 million employees in the public sector to private banks during the next two years.

Masrour Barzani said on Twitter, "The existence of a modern banking sector is the basis of our vision of a stronger Kurdistan."

He added, "Over the next two years, we will transfer the accounts of 1.2 million employees in the public sector to private banks and launch digital payment services to advance the development of our economy."

The prime minister concluded his tweet with the hashtag, which is an initiative announced by the Kurdistan Regional Government and represents a comprehensive financial program aimed at providing a safe and appropriate way to pay the salaries of employees, security forces, and retirees from the public sector.

He also attached the tweet to scenes from the inauguration of the new building of the General Administration and the main branch of Cihan Bank.

"We are considering withdrawing from the agreement to export grain through the Black Sea," Putin said during a meeting with military correspondents in the capital, Moscow.

The Russian president indicated that Moscow was cheated in the grain deal, and the sanctions on Russian grain exports were not lifted.

During his speech, Putin pointed out the existence of a peace plan for Ukraine, stressing that Russia has never rejected talks that might lead to a peaceful settlement.

ARK News...The European Union denied easing its sanctions against the regime or changing its position after returning it to the Arab League.

The European conversation came as a comment on news of Arab-European negotiation to ease sanctions according to the “step by step” policy.

Union spokesman Luis Miguel Bueno indicated that the European bloc does not ease or lift sanctions on the regime, but rather discusses the latest developments with partners in the League of Arab States, and continues to support the political process led by the United Nations.

Bueno explained that the European Union agrees with the vision of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, that this step of reintegration should be seen as the beginning of a long process, and not as full normalization.

The European official stressed that the road before the regime to normalization is still long, stressing the need for its commitment to what it agreed upon with the Arab countries in the “Amman” meeting, taking credible steps in implementing Security Council Resolution 2254 and working honestly with the United Nations Special Envoy, Geir Pedersen, Through a “step by step” approach.

أعلنت نقابة الأطباء السودانية، اليوم الأربعاء، عن ارتفاع حصيلة الضحايا بين المدنيين جراء الاشتباكات الجارية بين الجيش وقوات الدعم السريع، إلى 958 حالة وفاة و4746 مصاباً.

وقالت النقابة في بيان نشرته عبر صفحتها على موقع "فيسبوك": "ارتفع عدد الوفيات بين المدنيين منذ بداية الاشتباكات إلى 958 حالة وفاة، و4746 حالة إصابة.

وأضافت أن هناك "العديد والكثير من الإصابات والوفيات غير مشمولة في التقرير ولم نتمكن من الوصول إلى المستشفيات لصعوبة التنقل والوضع الأمني السائد في البلاد".

وأشارت النقابة إلى وجود عدد كبير من الضحايا، بينهم أطفال ونساء وكبارالسن، نتيجة الاقتتال في مدينة الجنينة، واصفةً الوضع في هذه المدينة بـأنه " كارثي والأسوأعلى الإطلاق"، حيث تعذر تماماً حصر الضحايا في هذه المدينة نظراً لخروج جميع المستشفيات عن الخدمة، وحصار المدينة بالكامل وانقطاع الاتصالات عنها.
