لمواجهة الهجرة غير النظامية.. اليونان تبدأ ببناء سياج على الحدود مع تركيا
بدأت السلطات اليونانية ببناء سياج فولاذي بطول 35 كيلومترا على طول نهر ميريتش على الحدود مع تركيا كجزء من مشروع الجدار الذي يبلغ طوله 140 كيلومترا لمواجهة الهجرة غير النظامية.
وبدأت شركات المقاولات العمل في المنطقة، كقطع الأشجار وفتح الطرق لمرور آلات البناء، ووفقًا للاتفاقية الموقعة في آذار بين الحكومة اليونانية وشركتي "Terna" و"Intrakat"، فإن بناء السياج البالغ طوله 35 كيلومترا سيكلف 99.2 مليون يورو (109 مليون دولار).
وسيتم بناء السياج الفولاذي الذي يبلغ طوله 35 كيلومترًا وارتفاعه 5 أمتار بين مدينتي ديديموتيشو (ديميتوكا) وسوفلي (سوفولو)، الواقعة بالقرب من الحدود التركية، حيث من المتوقع أن يتم الانتهاء من البناء في غضون عام.
كما سيتم بناء سبعة أبراج مراقبة مضادة للصواريخ الباليستية مع كبائن فولاذية في منطقة ريجون. وستشمل الأجهزة المخططة للسياج أجهزة الكشف عن الألياف البصرية الحديثة، وكاميرات قادرة على المراقبة حتى 15 كيلومترا داخل الأراضي التركية، وطائرات بدون طيار تعمل بالطاقة الشمسية.
وتغطي الحكومة اليونانية تكاليف البناء، إذ رفض الاتحاد الأوروبي تمويل المشروع.

خلال حزيران وتموز.. السوريون يتصدرون قائمة طلبات اللجوء في ألمانيا
تصدرت الجنسية السورية طلبات اللجوء المقدمة في ألمانيا بين شهري حزيران وتموز الماضيين، يليها الطلبات المقدمة من اللاجئين الأفغان والأتراك.
ووفقا لتقريرٍ نشره موقع "The Germany Eye" أمس 30 تموز 2023، تصدرت السوريين القائمة بـ 43532 طلبا، ما يمثل 29 في المئة من إجمالي الطلبات، وارتفع عدد المتقدمين السوريين بنسبة 77.7 في المئة مقارنة بالعام السابق.
وبلغ عدد الأفغان 27310 طلبا، أي ما يعادل 18.2 في المئة من الإجمالي، والأتراك 19208طلبا، وهو ما يمثل 12.8 في المئة من جميع الطلبات.

The Syrian regime puts out the fires in Latakia with primitive methods and tools

The fires affected large areas of forests extending between the town of Mashqita in the center of Lattakia governorate and Rabia district in the northern countryside, in addition to tens of acres of land planted with Citrus trees.
A video clip published by the Syrian regime's media showed that the Syrian regime's elements used primitive methods to put out a fire that broke out in a forested area in the mountains of Rabia district, using tree branches.

Cyprus... Rescuing dozens of Syrian asylum seekers
ARK News… The Cypriot authorities have rescued 73 Syrian asylum seekers who were on board a boat that was threatened with sinking, which set off from the coast of Tartous several days ago.
On Sunday, the Unified Rescue Group reported that the Cypriot authorities managed, on July 28, to rescue 73 Syrian asylum seekers, including 9 women and 11 children, who were on a boat likely to have set off from Tartous.
The group pointed out that the boat was at risk of capsizing due to bad weather and overloading. It explained that all asylum seekers were transferred to the Famagusta police station - on the Turkish side of the island - with the aim of interrogation.

The Syrian regime raises the price of gasoline twice in less than a month
ARK News… The Ministry of Internal Trade in the government of the Syrian regime raised the selling price of “95 octane” gasoline, at a value of 1,400 Syrian pounds per liter, less than a month after it was raised.
According to the decision, which will be implemented today, Monday, July 31, the ministry has set the selling price of the substance at ten thousand Syrian pounds per liter instead of the 8,600 pounds it had set on July 5.
The ministry did not justify the reasons for raising the article for the fifth time in seven months, explaining in the text of the decision that the new price includes the annual renewal fee for vehicles running on gasoline, which is set at 50 Syrian pounds per liter.
The decision indicated that its violators will be subject to the penalties stipulated in Decree “8” of 2021.

The White Helmets destroyed 11 unexploded ordnances in northern Syria within a week
ARK News... The Syrian Civil Defense teams destroyed many unexploded ordnances during the past week.
The White Helmets said in a statement that its teams destroyed 11 unexploded ordnances, including 5 cluster bombs left over from war, in the regions and towns of northwestern Syria.
It indicated that the teams have intensified surveys of lands infested with remnants of war, and awareness-raising operations for civilians, especially with the approaching fig harvest season in the Idlib countryside, to protect civilians from the danger of these remnants exploding and injuring civilians.
About 4.5 million Syrians, most of them displaced live in areas infested with mines and unexploded ordnance, as a result of years of bombing by the Syrian regime and Russia, as these remnants pose a great threat to the lives of the population, and directly affect the stability of civilians, education and agriculture.

The President of the Kurdistan Region issues a statement on the 40th anniversary of the Anfal of the Barzanis
ARK News… The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, issued a statement on the anniversary of the Anfal of the Barzanis, stressing the unity, harmony and cohesion between all parties and components of Kurdistan.
The following is the text of the statement:
Today we remember with reverence the fortieth anniversary of the liberation and absence of eight thousand young men, men, and old men of Barzanis in forced compounds. From the end of July to mid-August of the year 1983, they were victims of a brutal crime and a campaign of arbitrary arrests carried out by the Iraqi authorities at the time, which took them so that they would never return.
Thousands of helpless Barzani families were left in the compounds of Qoshtapa, Barakah, Harir, Soran and other regions without fathers or brothers, and thousands of pure Barzani women remained without husbands and had to face an unknown, difficult and arduous fate on their own, resisting dozens of types of suffering and deprivation and standing firm in its face.
These women became the breadwinners for their children, earning a living for them and raising them, and they were subjected to many pains and hardships. They withstood in the face of deprivation, poverty and loneliness, and with a high spirit of defiance they faced life and managed with merit to raise a patriotic generation that protected the fever. I kiss the hands of these merciful and devoted mothers one by one.
The anarchy of the Barzanis, like all the crimes committed against the people of Kurdistan, did not lead to a decline in the strength and enthusiasm of our people in fighting injustice and dictatorship, but on the contrary, it increased the strength of the spirit of confrontation, and the will of victory and freedom for all the people of Kurdistan to continue the struggle with a firmer faith.
On this anniversary, we salute the Anfal victims and all the martyrs of Kurdistan, and we bow in homage to their pure and pure souls. We salute, thank, and express our gratitude to all the generous people in Erbil and its outskirts, and in Harir, Battas, Soran, and wherever they are, who came forward to help and shelter the families of the Barzanis.
On this anniversary as well, and while the Kurdistan Region is going through critical and sensitive situations, we stress the unity of class, harmony and cohesion between all the parties and components of Kurdistan, as this is the only way that leads to our glory and victory.

قبرص.. إنقاذ العشرات من طالبي اللجوء السوريين
أنقذت السلطات القبرصية 73 طالب لجوء سورياً كانوا على متن قارب مهدد بالغرق، انطلق من السواحل طرطوس قبل عدة أيام.
وأفادت مجموعة "الإنقاذ الموحّد" أمس الأحد، بأن السلطات القبرصية تمكنت في الـ28 من تموز الجاري من إنقاذ 73 طالب لجوء سورياً، بينهم 9 نساء و11 طفلاً، كانوا على متن قارب يرجّح أنه انطلق من طرطوس.
ولفتت المجموعة إلى أن القارب كان معرضاً لخطر الانقلاب بسبب سوء الأحوال الجوية والحمولة الزائدة. وأوضحت أن جميع طالبي اللجوء تم نقلهم إلى مركز شرطة فاماغوستا -في الجانب التركي من الجزيرة- بهدف الاستجواب.
