Mazloum Abdi: We have indirect dialogues with Turkey
ARK News: The commander-in-chief of Syria Democratic Forces “QSD” Mazloum Abdi revealed on Friday 3/5/2019, that they are conducting indirect negotiations with the Turkish state, expressing their willingness to resolve all outstanding problems between the two parties.
During his speech on the sidelines of the meeting of the Syrian tribes in the area of Ain Isa in the province of Raqqa, Mazloum Abdi said that “negotiations are conducted indirectly between Syria Democratic Forces and Turkey through mediators” and expressed their willingness to resolve the outstanding problems “through negotiations and peaceful ways with terms”.
Abdi expressed their readiness to consider the demands of the Turkish state on the border, but at the same time, they requested that Turkey not interfere with Syrian affairs and "respect for the sovereignty of the Syrian state," according to him.
He stressed the need to recognize the rights of the Kurdish people and the administration of the PYD and arms of Syria Democratic Forces constitutionally, and said: "Our forces believe in the unity of Syrian territory and fight for its unity, and believe in the Syrian-Syrian dialogue to solve the problems of the entire region."
The commander-in-chief of “QSD” said that " we cannot in any way return to the pre-2011 period" stressing that that« we cannot solve the existing problems in the region through reconciliation or other methods”, and said: “We are ready to dialogue with the Syrian government and the central government in order to reach a solution to the crisis”.
The site of the “Monitor” American has revealed that the US envoy to Syria James Jeffrey met two weeks ago in northern Syria with Mazloum Abdi, and offered to allow the entry of a small number of Turkish soldiers to Kurdistan of Syria, to monitor the “safe area” to be established in Kurdistan of Syria.
The report pointed out that Mazloum Abdi rejected the proposal of Jeffrey, and undertook to study the issue of the withdrawal of the Turkish army from Afrin, which was seized by Turkey and armed groups in March 2018.
The official spokesman of the Syrian Council of Tribes and Clans, Hammad al-Asaad, said on Sunday to the BasNews site that: "long and difficult (security and military) talks between Turkey and the United States resulted in an important understanding which is the removal of PYD militants about 32 km from the border Turkish.
"As well as the evacuation of all armed elements from the region completely and will be a substitute for the deployment of joint patrols US-Turkish along the Turkish-Syrian border about 800 km pending the formation of local police and local councils to manage areas around which the understanding was reached with the return of Syrian refugees”, Al-Asaad pointed out.
