Oglu: Agreement on the establishment of the safe area has become soon
ARK News: Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Cavus oglu said on Thursday that his country is close to reaching an agreement with the United States over the safe area in northern Syria.
"We are close to reaching an agreement with Washington on the safe area in Syria ... we want to establish a safe area east of the Euphrates River after the withdrawal of the majority of US troops from the country," Cavus oglu told a news conference.
On the recent telephone conversation between the Turkish president and his US counterpart, Cavus oglu said: "The recent telephone contact between Presidents Erdogan and Trump dealt with all issues in a positive atmosphere."
"Trump will be in Europe next June and he wants to visit Turkey a month later," said Cavus oglu added.
