Mohamed Ismail reveals the details of the French initiative for rapprochement between the Council and the PYD

ARK News: A member of the presidential body of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, Mohammed Ismail revealed details of the French initiative for rapprochement between the Kurdish National Council in Syria and the Democratic Union Party the PYD, and said that they are looking positively at that initiative in the council.

In a special statement to ARK News Ismail revealed that the French are trying to rapprochement between the Council and the PYD, however, the Council requested guarantees in order not to repeat the practices of the PYD, so that the rapprochement would be real, and in the absence of real guarantee will not succeed any initiative, where many civil and human rights organizations have tried to find ways of rapprochement between the two sides, but because of the absence of real guarantees, these attempts have failed, and the Council views to France as an important and influential country and it can be a guarantor.

Ismail also said that they in the Kurdish National Council look positively at that attempt, and they are ready for any step in the service of the Kurdish issue in Syria, and then the move from the Kurdish-Kurdish convergence to dialogue and convergence with other components in the region.

Regarding the mechanism of the dialogue between the parties, Ismail revealed that they are in generalities so far and they did not talk in details and that France is ready to provide guarantee and prepare the atmosphere, and they are in the council waiting for the first steps and preparing the atmosphere, and then they will be ready for dialogue with the PYD.

The administrative official of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria added that "the stage is sensitive and there are talks about establishing a safe area, so the circumstances require a Kurdish unit, and the rejection of differences and that also recognizes that the monopolization in the administration and power does not come with a result."
