Local of Girke Lake of the Kurdish National Council honors Ziwa band

ARK News: Local of Girke Lake of the Kurdish National Council to honored “Ziwa band” "Koma Ziwa" of Kurdish art and folklore "in Girke Lake in appreciation of its role in the revival of Kurdish heritage and folklore and its activities on the National Day of Nawroz and all national occasions.

After standing a minute of silence on the souls of martyrs of the Kurds and Kurdistan, a member of the General Secretariat in the National Council Zahra Ahmed delivered a speech of the Council, where she praised the role played by Koma Ziwa in the national activities, especially in the festival of Nawroz and its musical, theatrical and folkloric activities and events, and she stressed that the continuity of the Ziwa band since its establishment to this day is proof that the members of the band have the spirit of nationalism and that they adhere to the Barzani approach the immortal, and confirmed that the band will continue the same will and spirit in its national activities and events.


In conclusion, a certificate of appreciation was presented and thanked the band and honoring each of its members with the Kurdish flag. For his part, the official of the Ziwa band thanked with his name and with the name of the members of local of Girke Lake band to this honor, stressing the continuity of the band in its activities and its distinctive role in serving the Kurdish folklore.
