ARK News: Within the ceremony held by the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate Syria on the 121st anniversary of the Kurdish Press Day in the capital of the Kurdistan Region Hawler on Monday 22 April 2019 the Kurdish media female Halabja Saadoun received the award of the late Jiwan Mirani for the Kurdish press at its fourth session.
In the ceremony, which held by the Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate Syria in the Media Hall in Hawler the capital, many Kurdish personalities and officials of the Kurdish National Council and a number of media and officials Kurds from Kurdistan Syria and the Kurdistan Region participated this ceremony.
The media female Halabja Saadoun received the award of the late Joan Mirani, which was awarded by the syndicate at its fourth session.
Halabja Saadoun is from the village of Gire Sor in the countryside of Derik region in Kurdistan of Syria.
Her media career began with the beginning of the Syrian crisis as a correspondent for Waltê Me site.
She went to the Kurdistan Region on 1/2/2014 and she began as a news editor in Radio Rojava in the city of Hawler and then moved on 1/7/2015 to ARK channel and stayed until 15/3/2017 and she worked as an editor and correspondent and has many field reports promoted among Peshmerga ranks.
As part of her work at ARK Channel, she also worked on 1/11/2016 - 1/6/2017 as a reporter for Start FM radio.
On 2/12/2017 she moved to War channel in Duhok and she works as an editor and an introduction to the political bulletins so far.
In the first round, the Dill Bikhuin Dara, the presenter of the political publications of Rudaw channel has won the prize, while the media man Khalid Jamil at Rudaw channel has got the award at the second session Farhad Hamo, the abducted correspondent at Rudaw TV channel, was given the prize at the third session, and this year, the media female Halabja Saadoun received the award at its fourth session.
