ARK News: A Syrian Kurdish leader confirmed, on Wednesday, that the horizontal expansion of Iran in the region and its quest to open a corridor extending from Tehran through Baghdad to Damascus, Beirut, made the United States of America continues to exist on the eastern border separating Syria and Iraq.

A member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria and the head of local councils in the Syrian National Council in Syria, Mohsen Taher, said in an interview with (BasNews): “The horizontal expansion of Iran in the region and its quest to open a corridor extending from Tehran through Baghdad to Damascus and Beirut, making the United States of America continues to exist on the eastern border separating Syria and Iraq, not only to confront a dangerous threat Da’esh, but also to prevent Tehran from achieving its goals and to complete the installation of the Shiite crescent. "

The Kurdish leader denied rumors that the area of East Euphrates region will be a special Kurdish and other components under the auspices of the United States and its allies in the future, And said: “It is too early to raise the ceiling of expectations and dance to the echo of the tones of romantic dreams in the shadow of the fog of the American position and swing mercantile to right and left according to the needs of their interests”.

Taher added that "although the PYD militants paid the high price of the blood of tens of thousands of martyrs, the American act did not rise to the level of these serious sacrifices and did not touch until now what indicates that the US administration seeks to establish an entity or territory that touches the aspirations of the Kurdish people and other components in freedom and democracy and living well in the east of the Euphrates”.

Taher concluded saying: "Those who believe that the Syrian crisis will witness a breakthrough in the near future are mistaken, and those who believe that the regime will comply with the political solutions and the UN resolutions, and the relative calm experienced by Syria in general and East Euphrates specifically may not withstand in the foreseeable future as a result of acute crises and the composite between the Alliance, which may extend even within the alliance in the next phase”.
