A meeting between Barzani and the general commander of the special operations in Iraq and Syria

ARK News: Masrour Barzani, the adviser to the Security Council of the Kurdistan Region received on Monday (General Patrick Roberson), the commander-in-chief of the joint team for special operations in Iraq and Syria and his delegation.

During their meeting, the two sides discussed the most important developments in the region in general and ways to deal with the threat of terrorism.

This is in reference to the escalation of terrorist movements in some areas, Masrour Barzani stressed the need for continued coordination between all parties and called for normalization of the situation in the Kurdistan regions located outside the administrative borders of the Kurdistan Region, to keep those areas and to restore stability and to clamp down on the movement of terrorists in them.

For his part, the commander-in-chief of the joint team for special operations in Iraq and Syria to the effectiveness of the role of the Peshmerga forces in countering terrorists, and stressed the continued support and the provision of technical requirements for them, and he also pointed to the importance of coordination between the US and Iraqi forces and the Kurdistan Region, which helps to stabilize the region in general.
